This exemplary gem is a piece of Cubic Zirconia, believe it or not. And this particular piece of CZ exhibits the phenomenon of changing color depending on the light source. In fluorescent light, it is a deep blue/purple like Tanzanite. In incandescent light, it turns a beautiful Indicolite Tourmaline color.
